Abstract

Information on Price's arrival in California, ca. 1830, his imprisonment in Baja California resulting from the Graham Affair, work as a vaquero in southern California for William G. Danna and Issac Sparks, cattle ranching on Rancho El Pismo, involvement in local politics and services as alcalde, county judge and supervisor in San Luis Obispo Co., land transactions in and around San Luis Obispo, and development of the town of Pismo Beach.
